The US downgrade on Online Banking is expected to see even lower interest rates at first. The online banks are also the first place any consumer will see any direct effect of this credit downgrade on their money because of the speed in which the internet works.

The first markets to react to the US credit downgrading on Monday were Australia and New Zealand. They immediately fell 2.3% and 3.2% respectively as they opened their markets to a new week of uncertainly.

On Sunday the G-7 held an emergency teleconference to discuss the problems with the European markets and their struggling economies. The results are an active implement of and purchases by the European central bank to help shore up the faltering economies of Span and Italy.
